I believe that long-lasting healing generally requires more than a surface-level approach – a deeper dive into the complexities of one’s story. In my work with clients, we seek to understand the connections between the “here and now” struggles and the “there and then” stories that led to various ways of self-protecting and adapting. My overarching goal for you is that you will develop a greater awareness of how you have been shaped and impacted by past relationships and experiences of harm, so that you can move forward in new, more life-giving ways. Together, we will consider your current ways of relating with both yourself and others, as well as potential new ways of relating.
My first priority is to provide you with a safe, judgment-free environment where you feel welcome and free to come as you are. I aim to build an authentic and trusting relationship with my clients so they feel comfortable bringing even the messiest parts of themselves, and where they can develop a greater imagination for what could be.
Therapy for adolescents and adults
In my work with adolescents and adults, I utilize various therapeutic modalities, depending on the needs of the particular person, but I draw mainly from narrative, psychodynamic, family systems, trauma-focused, and attachment-based therapies. In person in Puyallup, WA or online.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” - Carl Rogers
Therapy for children (ages 5 and older)
With the belief that children communicate their inner world (wounds, fears, longings, and more) most authentically in and through play, I primarily use Child Centered Play Therapy in my work with young ones. The bulk of my sessions with children are spent one on one with the child. These sessions are then supplemented with occasional phone calls, brief conversations before/after sessions, and/or whole sessions between myself and caregivers in order to discuss the child’s needs and progress and to offer parent coaching to support the child’s growth and healing. In person only.

Areas of Focus
I have a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Pacific Lutheran University. Prior to receiving my Master’s degree, I taught piano privately for several years, as well as provided advocacy for children in the foster care system, and in my clinical internship, I worked with children and teens with a wide variety of needs and diagnoses, along with their parents. I regularly participate in various trainings and consultations with other mental health care providers in order to ensure provision of the best possible care for my clients. I am deeply honored and grateful that I get to do this work.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four kids, as well as reading, making music, and adventuring outdoors.
